Feasta is launching an ambitious new project for addressing climate change on an international level. Just as a group of Swiss citizens, who were tired of appealing to warring armies to treat civilians and prisoners decently, set up the International Red Cross 150 years ago by calling a conference and inviting the governments that bothered to attend to subscribe to the IRC’s principles, we intend to adopt the same approach on climate change. Feasta workshop in Kerry

Venue: Rossbeigh, Co.Kerry, Ireland
This 3-day residential workshop’s purpose is to explore the application of Stafford Beer’s Viable Systems Model to the ‘wicked problem’ of responding to climate change, including Feasta’s proposal for global citizens to establish a Global Climate Trust.
The workshop will be facilitated by Angela Espinosa and Jon Walker.

Three members of Feasta made presentations as part of the Irish Green Gathering on the 8th-10th August, 2008.
