Conference on Basic Income, November 22 2016

Social Justice Ireland’s Annual Social Policy Conference 2016 will focus on Basic Income, the theory behind it, and how it can be applied in practice. Themes will include "Citizenship Rights and Responsibilities – The role of Basic Income", "Basic Income in Practice – International experience", and "Basic Income in Ireland – Options for implementation". Speakers will include Ville-Veikko Pulkka of Finland and Sjir Hoeijmakers of the Netherlands, as well as Feasta trustee Michelle Murphy.

Basic Income Ireland Summer Forum, June 11 2016

The third annual summer forum will take place in The Carmelite Community Centre, Aungier St, Dublin, from 10am to 4pm on on Saturday June 11th 2016.

The forum is a good chance to meet basic income advocates, learn more about basic income, and to contribute your own ideas. In the morning, the theme is “Basic Income for Men and Women”.

CapGlobalCarbon will co-host a side event at COP-21 in Paris

We’re delighted to announce that our application to co-host a side event at the UN climate change summit in December has been accepted. Feasta’s delegation will be collaborating with Columbian NGO DeJusticia and the Sequoia Foundation, based in California. The event will be titled “Climate Justice: Coal and Human Rights in the South, Community Choice Energy, Global Carbon Pricing” and will take place on Saturday December 5.
